The Commemorative Air Force ("CAF") appreciates the importance of respecting and protecting your privacy. The CAF is committed to maintaining your trust and respecting your information with our PRIVACY POLICY. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site and through Forms. Carefully read this Privacy Policy in its entirety.

The CAF's PRIVACY POLICY explains what information is collected, why the information is collected, and how the CAF uses, shares, and protects the personal information from and about our members, donors, subscribers, volunteers, program participants, website visitors, aircraft riders, those that purchase aircraft rides for others, staff, and others – both online and offline.

This policy also describes how you can request and update your personal information and your preferences for being contacted.

What This Privacy Policy Covers

This PRIVACY POLICY applies to any personal information, which the CAF defines as data that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or can reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to an individual or household. This includes but is not limited to information such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and data that is linked to such personal data, (such as demographic data, CAF passwords, payment data, device and usage data, and location data). This Privacy Policy does not apply to data that is not personal data or is not linked to personal data, including anonymous, de-identified, or aggregate data, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you – even when such data has been derived from personal data – and publicly available information (i.e., information that is lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records).

This PRIVACY POLICY applies to all operations of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), a non-profit organization, and each of its subsidiaries and affiliates, such as the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC), the American Airpower Heritage Museum, the American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum, and any CAF Unit, CAF events, and/or CAF programs. (together "CAF"). This Privacy Policy applies when you communicate with us by mail, email, phone, paper forms, social media, online forms, event registrations, subscribing, or in person, including at CAF events (known collectively as "FORMS"). This Privacy Policy also applies when you use any of the CAF websites or applications designed for smartphones, tablets, computers, and other devices (known collectively as "SITE"), except where email, website, or app points to a different governing policy (e.g., ticket purchasing websites, social media websites, etc.) You can find this PRIVACY POLICY on our website.

By providing your personal information to the CAF via online/digital format or written on a physical form or via phone via FORMS, or by using the CAF's websites or apps via the SITE, you automatically consent to and agree to the CAF's PRIVACY POLICY. What Information Is Collected?

The CAF may collect personal and non-personal information about you through the SITE, FORMS, paper forms and applications, and/or the direct mail program. Some of this information is provided by you, other information may be collected by automated means when you interact with us through our SITE, and when we communicate with you by email or text message. We use standard technologies, including browser cookies, web beacons, and third-party analytics services to collect this behavioral and operational data, which may be recorded and retained by the CAF.

This information might include your: Name; Contact information (mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, fax number); Demographic information (age, date of birth, gender, marital status); Login credentials; CAF Membership information; Pilot information (medical evaluations, training, flight logs); Employment and occupation information; Military history information; Payment information; Purchasing information; Donation or gift information; Aircraft ride information; Computer/mobile device/browser information; Third-party website information; Usage activity; Transactional information; Event registration information; Statements or content information; Communication preferences; and Employment application information.

How Information Is Collected

We collect your data when you choose to provide it as you interact with us in person, through FORMS, or our SITE. CAF may use tracking technologies including: Cookies, Flash cookies, Web beacons, Scripts, and Analytic tools and services (such as Google Analytics and/or Facebook Pixel).

Why the CAF Collects Information

The CAF collects information to support its non-profit mission, comply with legal responsibilities, and serve members, donors, and supporters — including to deliver program information, process payments, manage memberships, personalize user experiences, evaluate and improve operations, evaluate employment applications, protect against fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

How the CAF Uses the Information

CAF may use information to fulfill requests, process payments, facilitate SITE use, send communications, provide information about CAF and third-party businesses, share with third-party organizations, improve the SITE, analyze traffic and user behavior, conduct research, monitor activities, and protect CAF's rights and properties.

Sharing Information Collected and Third-Party Applications/Networks

CAF reserves the right to share personal information with its employees, agents, and third parties who help manage and operate the SITE. CAF may also share information with third parties who help with marketing, fundraising, and information collection efforts. CAF does not limit how it may use or share non-personal information. The SITE may contain links to third-party websites governed by their own privacy policies; CAF is not responsible for those.

Retaining and Protecting Information

CAF may retain personal information for as long as it believes necessary or appropriate. CAF implements administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect personal data, though "perfect" or "100%" security does not exist on the Internet.

A Note About Minors

The Site is a general audience website intended for adults. CAF does not collect personal information through the Site from any person it actually knows to be under thirteen (13) years of age.

Your California Privacy Rights

California residents may request information about how CAF shares personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes, and may opt out of such sharing. Requests may be submitted to the same contacts above with subject line "Your California Privacy Rights." CAF does not respond to "do not track" (DNT) signals.

Your EU Privacy Rights

All CAF data processing occurs in the United States. By providing data or using the SITE, you consent to collection, transfer, processing, and storage of your data in the United States. EU residents with complaints may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK at 0303 123 1113.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

CAF may modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. Changes will be posted on the SITE. Continuing to access the SITE reaffirms your acceptance of the most recent version.

The CAF reserves the right to its intellectual property. Copyrights of all content on the SITE remain with the CAF and other copyright owners as specified. Prohibited acts include public performance or display, rental, leasing, lending, any form of reproduction, extraction, storage, or adaptation of works.
